Workplace Relations Commission Adjudication Officer: Úna Glazier-Farmer
Date of Hearing: 02/09/2026
Procedure:
In accordance with Section 13 of the Industrial Relations Act 1969 (as amended) following the referral of the dispute to me by the Director General, I inquired into the dispute and gave the parties an opportunity to be heard by me and to present to me any information relevant to the dispute.
Background:
The Worker did not attend the hearing.
The Employer appeared along with its representative. |
Summary of Worker’s Case:
After waiting a reasonable period of time, the Worker did not attend the hearing. Having reviewed the file, I am satisfied that the Worker was on notice of the hearing. Furthermore, the Worker’s representative attended at the hearing, as a matter of courteous, to advise she was coming off record where the Worker did not provide updated instructions. |
Summary of Employer’s Case:
The Employer denied the Worker’s dispute. |
Conclusions:
In conducting my investigation, I have taken into account all relevant submissions presented to me by the Employer in the absence of the Worker, who chose not to attend.
On that basis, the Worker attending to set out the dispute, no recommendation is made in this dispute. |
Recommendation:
Section 13 of the Industrial Relations Act 1969 requires that I make a recommendation in relation to the dispute.
For reasons set out above, no recommendation is made in this dispute.
