Complaint seeking adjudication by the Workplace Relations Commission under section 13 of the Industrial Relations Act, 1969 | IR - SC - 00003963 | 16/03/2025 |
Workplace Relations Commission Adjudication Officer: Brian Dolan
Date of Hearing: 06/03/2026
Procedure:
In accordance with Section 13 of the Industrial Relations Act 1969 (as amended) following the referral of the dispute to me by the Director General, I inquired into the dispute and gave the parties an opportunity to be heard by me and to present to me any information relevant to the dispute.
Background:
On 16th March 2025, the Worker referred the present dispute to the Commission. Following the Employer’s failure to object to the same within the statutory timeframe, the matter duly proceeded to hearing. Said was convened for, and finalised on, 6th March 2026. This hearing was held in person at the Commission’s Sligo offices.
At the hearing of the matter, which was listed in parallel to a matter involving a complaint under justiciable legislation, the present dispute was not pursued by the Worker or defended by the Employer. In these circumstances, I do not recommend in relation to the Worker in relation to the matter. |
Recommendation:
Section 13 of the Industrial Relations Act 1969 requires that I make a recommendation in relation to the dispute.
I do not recommend in relation to the Worker in relation to the matter.
