Procedure:
In accordance with Section 13 of the Industrial Relations Act 1969 (as amended) following the referral of the disputes to me by the Director General, I inquired into the disputes and gave the parties an opportunity to be heard by me and to present to me any information relevant to the disputes.
Background:
The Worker referred the disputes to the Workplace Relations Commission on 24 June 2025. |
Summary of Workers Case:
After waiting for a reasonable period of time for the Worker, he did not appear at the hearing. Efforts were made on the hearing day to contact the Worker. |
Summary of Employer’s Case:
After waiting for a reasonable period of time for the Employer, it did not appear at the hearing. However, correspondence was received in the days prior to the hearing advising of its objection. |
Conclusions:
In the absence of the Worker’s appearing to make his submissions on his disputes, it can only be concluded that he no longer seeks to pursue the disputes. |
Recommendation:
In the circumstances, no recommendation can be made.
