Procedure:
In accordance with Section 79 of the Employment Equality Acts, 1998 - 2015, following the referral of the complaints to me by the Director General, I was available to inquire into the complaint and give the parties an opportunity to be heard by me and to present to me any evidence relevant to the complaint.

The complaint which was submitted to the Director General of the Workplace Relations Commission (WRC) on 22nd August 2025 alleges discriminatory dismissal. |

Findings and Conclusions:
The complaint was received by the Director General of the Workplace Relations commission on 22nd August 2025 whereby the complainant alleged that his former employer contravened the provisions of the Employment Equality Act, 1998 in relation to him. The complaint was assigned the complaint application numbers CA-00074707-001. The said complaints were referred to me for investigation. A hearing for that purpose was arranged for 14th April 2026. I delayed the commencement of the adjudication hearing for one hour to facilitate the late arrival of the complainant. There was no appearance by or on behalf of the complainant at the hearing and no further contact has been made with the adjudication services unit of the WRC. |
Decision:
Section 79 of the Employment Equality Acts, 1998 – 2015 requires that I make a decision in relation to the complaint in accordance with the relevant redress provisions under section 82 of the Act.
In all of the circumstances of the matter, I must conclude that the within complaint (CA-00074707-001 is not well-founded and I decide accordingly. |
