Procedure:
In accordance with Section 41 of the Workplace Relations Act, 2015 following the referral of the complaint to me by the Director General, I inquired into the complaint and gave the parties an opportunity to be heard by me and to present to me any evidence relevant to the complaint.
Background:
The Complainant alleges that he worked in a personal capacity for the Respondent and when he stopped working for them, he sent an invoice amounting to €2400 and was never paid. It would appear that the Complainant was working in a personal capacity.

Findings and Conclusions:
The Complainant consented to email communication, and I am satisfied that he was notified of the date, time and place of the hearing and failed to attend. |
Decision:
Section 41 of the Workplace Relations Act 2015 requires that I make a decision in relation to the complaint in accordance with the relevant redress provisions under Schedule 6 of that Act.
As the Complainant failed to attend at the hearing and properly notified, I must dismiss his complaint for failure to attend and I determine that the complaint is not well founded. |
