Procedure:
In accordance with Section 8 of the Unfair Dismissals Acts, 1977 - 2015, following the referral of the complaints to me by the Director General, I inquired into the complaints and gave the parties an opportunity to be heard and to present any evidence relevant to the complaints. The hearing was held in the Hearing Rooms of the Workplace Relations Commission, Carlow. The respondent attended the hearing along with his representative. The complainant did not attend the hearing.
Background:
The complainant submitted complaints to the WRC in relation to dismissal from his employment. He did not attend the hearing.

Findings and Conclusions:
As outlined on the WRC complaint form submitted, the complainant was in employment for less than 12 months. In those circumstances, the complaints are dealt with under the Industrial Relations Act and a recommendation is made to the parties. As the complainant did not attend the hearing to make out his complaints, I find the complaints are not well founded. |
Decision:
Section 8 of the Unfair Dismissals Acts, 1977 – 2015 requires that I make a decision in relation to the unfair dismissal claim consisting of a grant of redress in accordance with section 7 of the 1977 Act.
