Procedure:
In accordance with Section 41 of the Workplace Relations Act, 2015 following the referral of the complaint to me by the Director General, I made myself available to inquire into the complaint and give the parties an opportunity to be heard by me and to present to me any evidence relevant to the complaint.
The Respondent had contacted the Commission to set out that they believed the Complainant was out of the jurisdiction and would not be attending and that they did not want to attend. The Commission attempted to contact the Complainant in advance of the and the Complainant could not be found.
Background:
The Complainant began work on the 19th of February 2025. The employment ended with the Complainant resignation on the 8th of April 2025. They were employed as a truck on €170/day The Commission was informed by the Respondent in advance of the hearing that the Complainant was in Romania and the Commission emailed and phoned the Complainant and received no answer nor reply. |
Summary of Complainant’s Case:
The Complainant set out in their complaint form that he has not been paid a total of €600 by the Respondent. This is payment in relation to training days on the 19th & 20th of February. The Complainant did not attend and was not represented; the Complainant did not explain or offer an excuse as to their absence. |

The Respondent, CBM Transport, did not attend and was not represented, the Complainant did not explain or offer an excuse as to their absence. |
Findings and Conclusions:
As the case has not been set out by the Complainant nor by CBM Transport I can only find that the complaint fails |
Decision:
Section 41 of the Workplace Relations Act 2015 requires that I make a decision in relation to the complaint(s)/dispute(s) in accordance with the relevant redress provisions under Schedule 6 of that Act.
As set above the complaint is not well founded. |
