Complaint seeking adjudication by the Workplace Relations Commission under section 24 of the National Minimum Wage Act, 2000 | CA-00071574-001 | 14/05/2025 |
Date of Adjudication Hearing: 15/10/2025
Workplace Relations Commission Adjudication Officer: Thomas O'Driscoll
Procedure:
In accordance with Section 41 of the Workplace Relations Act, 2015 following the referral of the complaint to me by the Director General, I inquired into the complaint and gave the parties an opportunity to be heard by me and to present to me any evidence relevant to the complaint. The Complainant nor the Respondent attended the hearing. I am reasonably satisfied that the Complainant was duly informed of the hearing arrangements by way of communication from the Workplace Relations Commission to the address furnished by him on the complaint form.
Background:
The Complainant submitted a complaint for adjudication under section 24 of the National Minimum Wage Act 2000 on 14 May 2025. |
Summary of Complainant’s Case:
The Complainant did not attend the hearing. |
Summary of Respondent’s Case:
The Respondent did not attend the hearing |
Findings and Conclusions:
As the Complainant did not attend the hearing, I find that the complaint was not well founded due to a lack of evidence. |
Decision:
Section 41 of the Workplace Relations Act 2015 requires that I make a decision in relation to the complaint in accordance with the relevant redress provisions under Schedule 6 of that Act.
As the Complainant did not attend the hearing, I find that the complaint under section 28 of the National Minimum Wage Act 2000 was not well founded due to a lack of evidence. |
