Procedure:
In accordance with Section 13 of the Industrial Relations Act 1969 (as amended) following the referral of the dispute to me by the Director General, I inquired into the dispute and gave the parties an opportunity to be heard by me and to present to me any information relevant to the dispute.
Background:
In his complaint form submitted to the WRC, the Worker stated that the Employer presented him with a document to sign which contained false information. He stated that he was intimidated into signing this document. |
Summary of Workers Case:
The Worker did not attend the hearing. |
Summary of Employer’s Case:
As the Worker did not attend the hearing, the Employer did not make any submissions in relation to the dispute. |
Conclusions:
In conducting my investigation, I have taken into account all relevant submissions presented to me by the parties.
As the Worker did not attend the hearing to make a submission in relation to the dispute, I cannot make a recommendation that is favourable to him. |
Recommendation:
Section 13 of the Industrial Relations Act 1969 requires that I make a recommendation in relation to the dispute.
I recommend that the Worker deems the matter to be closed.
