Complaint seeking adjudication by the Workplace Relations Commission under section 13 of the Industrial Relations Act, 1969 | IR - SC - 00002502 | 18/04/2024 |
Workplace Relations Commission Adjudication Officer: David James Murphy
Date of Hearing: 06/11/2025
Procedure:
In accordance with Section 13 of the Industrial Relations Act 1969 (as amended) following the referral of the dispute(s) to me by the Director General, I inquired into the dispute(s) and gave the parties an opportunity to be heard by me and to present to me any information relevant to the dispute(s).
Background:
The Complainant worked for the Respondent for around 10 weeks and was dismissed. |
Summary of Workers Case:
The Worker submits that she was unfairly terminated. |
Summary of Employer’s Case:
The Respondent did not attend the hearing. |
Conclusions:
In conducting my investigation, I have taken into account all relevant submissions presented to me by the parties.
The Workers has brough this trade dispute alongside a statutory complaint concerning the dismissal for which I found in her favour. In the circumstances I do not believe and recommendation under this act would be appropriate. |
Recommendation:
Section 13 of the Industrial Relations Act 1969 requires that I make a recommendation in relation to the dispute.
I recommend no further action be taken in this trade dispute.
