Workplace Relations Commission Adjudication Officer: Gaye Cunningham
Date of Hearing: 04/02/2025
Procedure:
In accordance with Section 13 of the Industrial Relations Act 1969 (as amended)following the referral of the dispute to me by the Director General, I inquired into the dispute and gave the parties an opportunity to be heard by me and to present to me any information relevant to the dispute.
Background:
The Worker submitted a dispute regarding dismissal. She was given opportunities to attend the hearing or provide medical evidence in relation to her inability to attend. She did not attend or provide a medical certificate. In the circumstances where I have no opportunity to hear her dispute, I cannot make a recommendation in favour of the worker.
Recommendation:
Section 13 of the Industrial Relations Act 1969 requires that I make a recommendation in relation to the dispute.
For the reasons above, I make no recommendation.
