Procedure:
In accordance with section 13 of the Industrial Relations Act 1969 (as amended)following the referral of the dispute to me by the Director General, I inquired into the dispute and gave the parties an opportunity to be heard by me and to present to me any information relevant to the dispute.
Summary of Workers Case:
The worker referred this dispute in relation to the failure of the employer to process a grievance and harassment complaint she made about a colleague. The worker did so by email on the 6th August 2020 and while this was acknowledged, no further action took place until after she resigned on the 8th October 2020.  | 
Summary of Employer’s Case:
The employer explained the circumstances around not processing the grievance (the pandemic and changing priorities) and sought to engage with the worker in October.  | 
Conclusions:
In conducting my investigation, I have taken into account all relevant submissions presented to me by the parties. I recommend that the employer review its processes to ensure that grievances and complaints of bullying and harassment are dealt with in accordance with the established procedures.  | 
Recommendation:
Section 13 of the Industrial Relations Act 1969 requires that I make a recommendation in relation to the dispute.
