The decision of the Tribunal was as follows:-
Giving sworn testimony with the aid of a Tribunal-appointed interpreter, the claimant alleged that she was due a minimum notice payment after her employment as a hairdresser with the respondent, which had begun in May 2012, ended in August 2015 without any notice.
No evidence was proffered by or on behalf of the respondent.
Having heard the uncontested evidence of the claimant and looked at the P45 form furnished to the Tribunal, the Tribunal, allowing the claim under the Minimum Notice and Terms of Employment Acts, 1973 to 2005, awards her the sum of €800.00 (this amount being equivalent to two weeks’ gross pay at €400.00 per week) under the said legislation.
