I certify that the Tribunal
(Division of Tribunal)
Chairman: Mr. T. Ryan
Members: Mr. D. Moore
Ms. M. Mulcahy
heard this case in Dublin on 28th November 2014
Appellant(s): In Person
Respondent(s): Not Present or Represented
The decision of the Tribunal was as follows:-
The appellant claimed that his employment, which commenced on 4 January 2011 ended without notice by reason of redundancy on 29 April 2013. His gross weekly pay was €389.91.
No evidence was offered for the respondent to disprove the appellant’s entitlements.
Under the Redundancy Payments Acts, 1967 to 2007, the Tribunal finds that the appellant is entitled to a redundancy lump sum based on the following details:
Date of birth:
Date of commencement: 04 January 2011
Date of termination: 29 May 2013
Gross weekly pay: €389.91
This award is made subject to the appellant having been in insurable employment under the Social Welfare Acts during the relevant period.
Allowing the claim lodged under the Minimum Notice and Terms of Employment Acts, 1973 to 2005, the Tribunal awards the appellant the sum of €779.82 (this amount being equivalent to two weeks’ gross pay at €389.91 per week).
