The decision of the Tribunal was as follows:-
Determination:
Based on the uncontested evidence the Tribunal finds the appellant is entitled to his statutory redundancy and under the Redundancy Payments Acts, 1967 to 2007, the Tribunal awards a redundancy lump sum based on the following details:
Date of Commencement: 1 January 2007
Date of Notice: 12 February 2014
Date of Termination: 14 March 2014
Gross Weekly Pay: €1923.08
Loss having been established the Tribunal awards the sum of €7,692.32, this being four weeks gross wages, under the Minimum Notice and Terms of Employment Acts, 1973 to 2005.
These awards are made subject to the appellant having been in insurable employment under the Social Welfare Acts during the relevant period. It should be noted that a statutory weekly ceiling of €600.00 currently applies to payments from the Social Insurance Fund.
