The decision of the Tribunal was as follows:-
The appellant claimed that his employment, which commenced on 23 June 2008, ended by reason of redundancy on 20 March 2014. His gross weekly pay was €200.00 (based on a twenty-hour week at €10.00 per hour).
The Tribunal was satisfied that the appellant was duly notified of the hearing.
On the uncontested evidence of the appellant the Tribunal is satisfied that a redundancy situation existed in the employment and that the claimant’s position was redundant. The Tribunal awards the appellant a redundancy lump sum payment under the Redundancy Payments Acts, 1967 to 2007, a redundancy lump sum based on the following details:
Date of commencement: 23 June 2008
Date of termination: 20 March 2014
Gross weekly pay: €200.00
This award is made subject to the appellant having been in insurable employment under the Social Welfare Acts during the relevant period.
