The decision of the Tribunal was as follows:-
Determination:
The Tribunal were satisfied the respondent and their representative were properly notified of the time, date and location of the hearing in the Courthouse, Wexford. The respondent’s representative notified the Secretariat of the Employment Appeals Tribunal by letter, dated the 5th June 2014, that he would not be in a position to attend the hearing.
Based on the uncontested evidence the Tribunal is satisfied that the claimants did not receive their minimum notice entitlement.
Accordingly, the Tribunal awards the following payments under the Minimum Notice and Terms of Employment Acts, 1973 to 2005:
the first named claimant the sum of €3,579.12, this being the equivalent of eight weeks pay,
the second named claimant the sum of €3,097.76, this being the equivalent of eight weeks pay,
the third named claimant the sum of €250.61, this being the equivalent of one weeks pay,
the fourth named claimant the sum of €228.76, this being the equivalent of two weeks pay,
the fifth named claimant the sum of €4,133.92, this being the equivalent of eight weeks pay,
the sixth named claimant the sum of €1,668.16, this being the equivalent of eight weeks pay,
