SECTION 19(5), EMPLOYMENT EQUALITY ACT, 1977
- AND -
(REPRESENTED BY COMMUNICATIONS WORKERS' UNION)
2. On 23rd August, 1995, the Union referred the dispute to the Labour Court in accordance with Section 19(5) of the Employment Equality Act, 1977. A Labour Court hearing took place on 12th June, 1996, in Galway.
The Court, having considered the oral and written submissions, finds that reasonable cause has been shown why the reference of the issue was not made in accordance with the provisions of Section 19(5) of the Employment Equality Act, 1977.
Accordingly, the case will be referred to an Equality Officer for investigation.
