2011 Consultation Responses

In August 2011, the Minister launched a consultation process inviting views on how the reform objectives could be achieved in a manner that bests served the users of the State’s employment rights and industrial relations services. Over 65 consultation responses were received from a broad spectrum of organisations and individuals, including representatives of employers, employees, the legal profession, public bodies, non-governmental organisations, academics and individuals. Overall, the responses conveyed very broad support for the Minister’s proposals and provided many useful observations and suggestions on how the proposals could best be implemented. A summary and analysis of the submissions received, along with the Minister's introductory comments, is available HERE.

A full list of the parties who made submissions as part of the process is provided below, along with links to the submission documents (where these have been made available).

Submissions were also received from the following two parties but these have not been made available for publication:

  • Health Service Executive
  • REHAB
