This case concerns a claim by Ms. Margaret Mc Kenna that the North Western Health Board discriminated against her in terms of section 6(2)(a) of the Employment Equality Act, 1998 and contrary to the provisions of section 8 the Act when it offset pregnancy related illness against the provisions of its sick leave scheme with a consequent reduction to half pay.
