The dispute concerns a claim by Ms Mary Helen Davis that on 27th June, 1997 Dublin
Institute of Technology discriminated against her within the meaning of Section 2(a) of
the Employment Equality Act, 1977 and in contravention of Section 3 of that Act as a
result of its selection procedure for appointment to the post of Head of Library Services
at the Institute.
