This dispute concerns a claim by three named female Clerical Assistants that Bus Eireann and Coras Iompair Eireann discriminated against them on the grounds of their sex in terms of Section 2(a) and (c) of the Employment Equality Act, 1977 and in breach of Section 3 in regard to the educational requirement that they must meet in order to be allowed access to promotional grades.
