The Workplace Relations Commission (WRC) has agreed a Memorandum of Understanding that underpins its ongoing collaborative association with the International Labour Organisation (ILO).
The collaboration between the ILO and the WRC will take various forms:
- Exchange of information
Exchange of information and documentation, from time to time, on matters relating to the prevention and resolution of labour disputes,
- Capacity building and professional development activities
Delivery of capacity building, awareness raising, and training activities on matters relating to the prevention and resolution of labour disputes and labour standards for the benefit of ILO constituents.
- Organisation of study tours
Organisation of study tours for the benefit of labour dispute resolution institutions from ILO member States. The objective of such study tours will be to share knowledge and skills on matters relating to the prevention and resolution of labour disputes.
- Technical cooperation missions
Participation in missions to ILO Member States for the purposes of providing advisory services on matters relating to the prevention and resolution of labour disputes, as part of the ILO’s program of international technical cooperation and the WRC’s professional development initiatives.
